question

as some of u know i was deferred and after thinking about my app i realized something i didn't address in my essay. is there a way to possibly redo my application and send it to them?

There is really no need to re-do your application. Send any additional correspondence to your regional representative and cc it to the admissions office. Reiterate that Columbia is still your first choice school and emphasize what contributions you feel as though you can make to the Columbia community as well as why Columbia is the right school for you.

You are good candidate for RD, hence the reason for your deferral. I'm glad you have gotten over your anger and will focus your energies toward showing Columbia why they should accept you. By the same token, you should put the same energies into your other applications. Good luck.

well i really want to get rid of one of my essays that i sent. i know that my essays weren't effective and that's why i got deferred. i want to withdraw that essay really. it's kind of cliche and i have a really good unique topic that will reveal more about me than that. i don't want them to spend time reading that essay. i want them to focus on my new essay. So that's why i want to redo it. besides i want to tweak my original essays a little more.

i want to tell them to throw away my original application and look at my new one. is this possible without losing the ED applicant status?

really anyone to answer my question?

why don't you call your regional admissions' officer?
