bksvet310, how did you get in? And I mean that seriously, not in a mean way. What’d you do that made up for your grades and SSAT score?

@AndoverExeter:
In all honesty, I ask myself the same question.

Uhm, so I got 90’s on verbal and reading. I showed a steady improvement over the middle school years (C average- 6th, B average- 7, A average- 8). I made sure Deerfield AO’s did not forget me by constantly sending them stuff (thank you letters, report cards, emails with questions I already knew the answers to). Also, I am an expert at interviewing. Somehow I manage to become best friends with them after only a matter of minutes. In seconds I have them laughing about random things and sharing the most interesting (not) stories about their daughter who is in college and their cat named Mitsy (these are random names with no relation to any of my interviews or interviewers). I also do interesting extracurriculars and they ask tons of questions about those.

The main point way of getting accepted is not being forgotten. When they pull up your file its definitely not a good thing if they can’t remember anything about you or your interview except what is in your file.
