No, YOU’RE responsible for having the College Board send the official report of your SAT scores to Penn. If you haven’t done that by now, you probably should order “Rush Reporting” to Penn as soon as possible (and let the Admissions Office know that you’ve done that):

The email notified me that I have until Tuesday, November 27 for them to receive the scores. Do you recommend I rush my scores in or do you think they will get there on time standard delivery.

You should call the College Board immediately to determine whether rush delivery is required or recommended under these circumstances (I suspect that it IS, especially given that we’re coming up on the Thanksgiving holiday this week).

I doubt that this, alone, will adversely affect your chances for admission. But if they don’t receive your official score report by November 27th, . . . .

I thought I just self reported the score and the counselor sent in the official score report along with my transcript… But that’s besides the point

Lay off the OP. The application process is a dizzying exercise in confusion. We don’t know what his or her app looks like and are not in a position to judge chances. Also, can we have a reality check? As applicants, this is probably one of the most stressful periods of time in our lives so far, I know that it is in mine. I’m writing this because I know that if I had not sent in my scores, and then had seen what you guys wrote I would be completely crushed right now.

Rush your scores and send them in NOW. Don’t worry, as 45 Percenter says this probably won’t hurt your application.

Before you order rush reporting, check with the Penn admissions office to see if that works for them. I know other admissions offices at peer universities say never to use rush reporting, because it actually slows things down. They get a daily electronic transfer of scores from College Board. But I don’t know for sure what Penn would say about this, and you really, really want to get those scores to Penn by the deadline.

Read the OP’s other posts. Not a very emotionally mature young adult–very mean spirited to others, including the individual who replied.
CC needs to remove this class of person. Best of luck to you OP.

Cecilturtle,
It’s a misunderstanding haha. If you look at the posts, you can see that those “mean spirited” posts were towards the poster who called me a “fool.”

So I may be immature but I like to think that I’m not “mean spirited” ;)

a question since we’re already on the topic:

I chose “send scores when available” for my november 2012 scores…does that count as rush reporting or is there actually a button/choice of “Rush Reporting” on college board?

As I recall, if you designated that your scores be sent to Penn when you first registered for the November test, you do NOT need to then order “rush reporting.” The scores will be transmitted to Penn as soon as they are available.

But you should call The College Board immediately to double-check that:

I’m a nice guy I swear!”

And I have far too short a fuse for what I most likely misperceive as a put down of others. I stand corrected.

'Nation, I really hope that Dec 14th finds you with an ED Acceptance to Penn.
