Question

I know I'd like to become a lawyer, a corporate lawyer to be more specific. On this post everyone says get the best GPA you can get. People are saying major in philosophy. Should I major in this or economics? Also, what exactly do you do in philosophy, and what would be a back up career with it?

I know that getting a good GPA and good LSAT scores are important aspects of getting into law school, and obviously the higher those numbers the more selective the law school you can contemplate. But, do not lose sight of the fact that college should be fun and interesting. Do not pick a major just because it is easy, or the grading is easy. Pick a major that you have a real interest in -- not just because you just might change your mind later, but more because you should not waste these great years just looking ahead. Off my soap box now.

CD

bump please

Good Heavens. Just major in what subject suits you the best. Yes, get the highest GPA you can get, strike a balance between hard classes and easy classes. That's all there is to it.
