Hello, I have recently moved in order to attend collge classes in the last half of my senior year. I am sending an update to Stanford bc I just moved for the last semester. I am wondering if I should send another short reccomendation. I say this bc I can get a reccomendation from my college professor. I think this might show that I can transition well and am different than most high school students. I know that Stanford explicitly says not to send them, but I was wondering if it is worth the risk to send it as part of the update.

Any advice is much appreciated!!!!

might as well - it wouldn't be a risk - they say it just probably won't help, not that it'll hurt if it doesn't add anything.

I don't think it could hurt... you should probably make sure what exactly he's going to write about since he hasn't known you for a long period of time.

Yeah, I am going to be the one faxing it over, so if it is not good, I definately won't send it. I sure hope the update helps at least a little. My original app was a little lacking on EC's and in the five weeks I've been here I've gotten involved in Amnesty International and the NHS here as well as being on the Campaign committe of College Democrats and being an official notetaker for a handicapped person at college. Is that impressive or neutral or what do you guys think?

Thanks for responding.
