If I send my application to college early does that mean I will get my decision back sooner?

You definitely could, but then again you might not. Mostly it depends on the school. For some reason, state schools and less selective private schools will send back acceptance or denial letters early if they get an application early. Schools that are more selective will typically wait until the release date comes sooner. I’m assuming it’s because most of the more selective schools do the “holistic review in which each candidate is evaluated equally”. If you know what I’m saying.
