Question

What can one do with a double major in chemical engineering and political science? Note: I don’t want to go to law school, but both of these fields truly interest me. What about chemical engineering and economics?

Thanks!

@runna67 those fields are fairly disjoint to me, so unless you wish to run for a political office and pass bills regarding hazardous waste disposal or things of that sort, I don’t know of many occupations that would use both fields extensively. Maybe someone else who knows more about those two majors combined can chime in…

Also what does this have to do with MIT?

You can do plenty of things, and the major doesn’t limit you. I just met the other day someone who graduated from MIT as a engineering major but is now doing more advocacy work as the head of the Higher Education Solutions Network at USAID working in international development impact lab. Basically what I am trying to say is your major does not determine your life and there is plenty of intersection in between those things already that you might not realize until you step out into the field, so don’t worry so much about major combinations right now, but study what you are passionate about

@MITer94 Sorry! I totally didn’t mean to post this here

Thanks for your help though both of you!
