If I B a certain class, but get a 5 on my AP Exam and a 770+ SAT 2 Score... will adcoms overlook my grade? My whole class did not perform as poorly as I did- so my class rank will be hurt.

A B is not death. Sure, a 5 and a 770+ looks good.

GPA and AP scores are two different things. Certainly excellent scores can compensate for less strong grades, but I doubt that any admissions rep is going to take the time to match up the grade and score earned in a specific class.

kevster is correct: A B is not death.

A high grade and a low score may indicate that you work hard but your class was not challenging or comprehensive enoughl, so you did not learn all the material.

A low grade and a high score may indicate that you know your stuff but you got lazy in the class, or that you had an extra difficult teacher.

However, most colleges will not care that much about B's. The above applies mostly to lower grades.
