Alright, so Im probably going to be attending IU next spring, but Im sort of confused. Since Im basically starting a semester behind everyone else, will that affect my internship opportunities during the summers? Because do u have to have a certain amount of hours to do internships?

Also, if I decide to go to my JC for a year, then transfer, what would my fin aid be like? Will it be a lot less than if I went as a freshman?

Thanks

i dont think you will be at a disadvantage, your cc credits will probaly transfer over and you can get your GE's out of the way. the IU faculty award for transfers i think is typically smaller than the IU faculty award given to incoming freshman.

Alright new question...so I just went to my IU personal account thing to look at my financial aid for the spring, and all it said was I had a Fed Stafford Subsidized Loan, for like $2,650, and it said that I accpeted it. First of all, I didnt even apply for a loan, and secondly, is that all the money that Im gonna get from IU? If it is, I guess Im going to my JC for at least a year. And what about the faculty award? I thought for sure I was gonna get that.

Hmmmm, if that's all that appears, then I believe that's all you get.

Did your admission packet in the mail come with any scholarship info? If not, i'm guessing the only aid you'd get is loans and work.

What about your financial aid letter in the mail. Did that have anything else on it?

You would automatically accept the loan because it's pretty pointless not to. I think they did that with me too. It just gives you more flexibility to pay when you want. No interest is accumulated until after you graduate, and you can put any money towards the loan whenever you want to.

I havent got my fin aid letter in the mail yet, I was just lookin online when I found this stuff out. So maybe there is more in the letter?

Does anyone know any good internship programs for freshman during the summer? I know the CIA has a program that pays too.
