question

<p>but my only concern is the issue of diversity. Being an Indian person from NJ, I feel that I would be out of place at this university.
Can anyone justify that there is diversity at the university?</p>

<p>If by diversity you mean African Americans, it is not as diverse as some campuses, but if you mean diversity in the non-caucasian sense, it is extremely diverse. One of my son's best friends is from Indonesia, and another from Vietnam. I don't think an Indian would feel out of place at all, but hey, go visit, and see what you think for yourself.</p>

<p>Yeah, I think docmom's assessment is fairly accurate. I wouldn't worry about feeling out of place- there is a lot of geographic diversity and definitely more racial diversity than our reputation indicates. I certainly don't think you would be the only Indian from New Jersey here.</p>
