question...

is there more chance for a girl to get in if she applies for engineering? i think someone told me that

Well, there are more guys than girls in engineering, so to some extent, yes. But you still have to be academically qualified. However, my guess is that if you're up against a guy with the same grades/SATs are you, they would probably take you.

But you don’t intend on majoring in Engineering and instead changing your major once admitted?

Good point to bring up, Skiitifucan. I hadn't considered that's what the OP was asking.

7up: If you are not seriously considering applying as an engineer, DO NOT APPLY AS AN ENGINEER. Adcoms can tell if someone is trying to "play" the system. If you're academically qualified to get in to Tufts, you probably will as a liberal arts applicant.

i'm actually somewhat undecided but i was considering engineering...i guess i'll apply liberal i think you can take classes from the other school right?

Yes, liberal arts students can take class in engineering and the other way around.

Also, I should've noted that you can apply to transfer internally later. It's not unheard of.

realli? nice

thx y'all
