question...

Many top applicants and a lot of people in general from my school are applying to Furman. I feel like I fall somewhere in the middle. With an ACT of 31, really good EC's, excellent recs, good essays, 3.8 weighted gpa, and an ok class rank(my school is really competitive), I am nervous I won't get in. I would really like Furman to be an option, but I am scared that ONLY the very TOP applicants from my school will be accepted...does anyone have an opinion on this?
Thanks!!
Also, I got rejected from Vandy EDII, but accepted to Tulane with an academic scholarship, UGA and Alabama Honors.

Furman does not have a quota system of any type. Therefore, the high school you attend will not necessarily make a difference. Every applicant is considered individually up against the entire pool.

thanks so much...do you happen to know how many applications Furman received this year?

A report will be released shortly after RD applicants are informed of decisions at the end of this week. There you will find the exact number of applications received.
