question.

H'okay, so right now I'm finishing up junior year and these are my classes:

Yearbook
AP English Literature
AP Calculus AB
French III
AP Psychology
Human Anatomy & Physiology

I don't have an AP science this year, and it was a huge mistake not to have one or two. The reason I don't is that at the end of the summer I was incredibly scatterbrained-- I had just moved, a bit suddenly, and had to forecast and register immediately to a new school and it all came as a bit of a shock to me. So when I was sitting down with my new counselor that August I wasn't really thinking straight, and chose these classes. When I should've switched Yearbook with at least AP Biology or AP Physics.

But the problem is now that college apps are coming up, and I want a strong transcript. How do I say that I didn't have it because of moving without really saying it directly in an essay or something? Another problem is that AP Biology might not be given next year either, and if they do, we're having a pretty crappy teacher compared to the really good one this year (another reason why it was a mistake to not take it). I could try taking biology at a local community college (called Running Start, a program), but I don't have time for that with my extracurriculars and other class schedule, so it's highly unlikely I'd do that.

My forecasting for next year looks like this

Yearbook
AP English Language
AP Physics
AP Biology
AP Economics (I'm taking this over Comparative Government because in sophomore year during AP US History we had a two-week course on economics, and I failed it miserably. So I want to try it out)
AP Statistics

I'd really like a strong record, because I'm mostly looking at upper-tier schools. And I know it was a mistake and I was too stupid and scatterbrained to not have chosen an AP science, so what do you think I should do or say in an application?

I don't want to say it won't hurt you because I'm not completely knowledgable about colleges wanting science APs. I wouldn't worry about it too much though.
