<p>Yes, you should be able to. Of course, some universities' policies will say that you can't have more funds than your estimated Cost of Attendance (COA). In that case, you can ask the scholarship organizations to defer your funds to the next year. Most of the time if you explain your situation they will be more than happy to. From personal experience, you shouldn't have any problems if you work with your financial aid officer.</p>
<p>It isn't Institutional policies which state that a student cannot have more funds than the COA...it is a federal regulation. Moving your scholarships to a different year than awarded depends on the specifications written into the scholarship. Some scholarships can be deferred, some cannot. Also, for ones which cannot and bring your funding total above COA....be prepared to lose instutitional aid.</p>
