For the Common App supplement question (the intellectual interests/evolution one), is it ok if we dont talk about one particular interest? what if my interests are varied and all over the place..they haven't really evolved--just kinda developed in 12th grade : o

also, if i plan to major in economics but apply to CAS instead of the agriculture school, is that going to hurt me?

any answers would help thanks

I'm pretty sure they just want to know about your academic interests. As long as you are honest and genuine about what interests you, I don't think there will be a problem. Also, with respect to the particular college you are applying to, just give specific reasons why you chose to apply to CAS instead of the agricultural school. I had a situation close to yours (I chose CAS over engineering). Personally, I focused on CAS being more about liberal arts and having a wider range of classes for my interests. They are looking for your fit to the college, if you pick the right one it should come out in your essay.
