Question?

If you get in, do you need to keep up a certain academic level and by that i mean can i be lazy now that i've been accepted or do i need to keep myself above the water?

You should definitely plan to keep it above the water …

ABSOLUTELY keep it above water. There are stories abound all over the place of acceptances being RESCINDED for poor performance and ALL acceptance offers contingent on passing classes…and besides, you dont really want to shame yourself do you? Imagine moving in to a dorm next year and being ASHAMED of your senior grades and having to mumble something when asked how you did and where you went! Take PRIDE in your work. Furthermore, at Fordham you will work your behind off and if you are a slacker now, it will cost you bigtime in college. So buckle down and see if you can IMPROVE your rank and GPA! Trust me when I say your classmates will be very smart and very competitive…so hustle up and stay in the books!

What would you estimate would be an acceptable GPA to maintain?

absolutely keep those grades up!! Especially if ur taking any APs. Credits from APs will let ur register for classes earlier.. so the more ur have, the earlier u can register, and the more likely u’ll get the class u want at the time u want.

and besides, its too early to be lazy. Its cool if its toward the last few months of school, but not in the middle of the academic year!! School will just end up being a waste of time.

I’d highly recommend that you maintain the gpa that got you in ! Why screw around and take that chance ?? If you’ve worked hard to get into a college why risk it by taking it easy the rest of your senior year. It doesn’t make sense. If that is your attitude, you may have some issues next year.

If you are concerned about failing any class, you better rectify it right away. I dont think they would rescind anything for a C in a course of import (cf. chorus or band), but anything below that is very problematic. They will get your transcript and see it all. You better buckle down.

alright alright alright lol i get it i was just wondering if anybody knew the minimum gpa require so that it doesnt happen; some of my friends were given specific gpas to withhold and i was just wondering if fordham had something like that as well. i’m not planning on cutting off all focus on my schoolwork XD wow you people overreact quickly
