So I've been accepted at both Harvard and Yale. I'm big into math and physics, however, I'm also interested in economics, finance, investing, business, etc. etc. If I decide that I want to study economics with a heavy-finance tilt, which school would be more appropriate?

Neither. The econ departments at Yale and Harvard are not that strong for finance. Harvard and Yale have very few finance classes (I know for a fact Yale has about 3 total and Harvard has a similar number). They are both fairly academically -focused as opposed to pre-professionally focused. I would still reccomend one of them though because you don't need to take that many finance classes to enter the finance world. I am probably going to be a Literature or a Humanities major at Yale, but I want to go into investment banking and I have an internship at Merril Lynch over the summer. They didn't even care that I didn't take any math or econ courses this year(in fact, it intrigued them). Having Harvard or Yale on your degree (no matter what the degree is) will make up for lack of finance classes, that is what Business School is for.
