<p>What does it mean to have "Staff" as a teacher? For example, when I look at the Math 10A section, there are Roberts, Stevens, and Staff. Are these "staff" classes taught by various teachers or something?</p>

<p>not Roberts or Stevens -- a professor won't teach the same class more than once per quarter unless there's absolutely NOBODY else left.</p>
<p>it happens occasionally in chemistry, but they've got their own problems there.</p>
