Question

Where can I find out which schools accept rush scoring reports?

i’m pretty sure they all do.

thank you. for some reason, i thought i read that columbia university does not accept rush scoring. i may have been mistaken.

It’s more that most schools consider it a waste of money.
Any official I’ve ever heard speak on the subject has said that the scores don’t get there any faster–and are sometimes slower, since they’re sent in the mail instead of online–and a blatant way for College Board to extort funds from frenzied students.
Call Columbia to be sure, but I wouldn’t waste my money.

the more i am reading, the more i realize you are right. i think it is a waste of money, but i will call them tomorrow. thank you!

I might as well ask you. If I took the SAT subject test on December 6, 2008…I won’t get my scores until December 23rd, 2008. They say it takes 1-2 weeks to submit the scores electronically from collegeboard.com to the colleges/universities after December 23rd. This means that my scores will arrive anytime between December 30th-January 8th at my selected colleges. If I rush my scores, they will arrive before January 1st (the deadline). Personally, I think most colleges would prefer me not to rush the scores because they may arrive on time with the regular score reports anyway. I think it would be a waste to spend an extra +$27.00 for a rushed score that is only arriving two days earlier. Plus, it’s the holiday season. Would a university not consider me because the scores came in a day later? Doesn’t it have to do with the post markings? Any thoughts?
