well in ugraduate school application, or MBA application , is it matter which college u attended? or is it just GPA that matters?? like for example a student who garduated
from Upenn tries to go harvard garduate school and a student who graduated from penn state who tries to go harvard graduate school have same GPA..
do they look at them same view or differently??

Good question.

I don’t know about comparing the two schools you’ve mentioned, since both are well-ranked, well-known, and well-respected.

But, if you were comparing a mid-to-high ranked well-known name school to some unknown name lowly ranked regional public (like southeastern state whatever), then it would make a difference.

So really well known and just ok school doesn’t matter?

No…

maybe I wasn’t clear.

Really well known undergrad school would likely trump an “ok school” not well known.

Your example used two “really well known schools”.

I said…"But, if you were comparing a mid-to-high ranked well-known name school to some unknown name lowly ranked regional public (like southeastern state whatever), then it would make a difference. "

So, it does matter when one student is from a good known school, while another is from some little-known or unknown school.
