question

I never applied to Princeton, because I really didn't have the scores to get me in. Is there a possibility of applying this fall even though I would be in college (NYU)?

From the Princeton Eligibility FAQ:

Is it possible to transfer to Princeton from another college or university?

No. At this time, Princeton is not able to offer transfer admission. Any student who has graduated from secondary school and enrolled as a full-time degree candidate at another college or university is considered a transfer applicant and isn’t eligible for undergraduate admission.

I mean applying as a freshman

u cant apply to be a freshman if you are already a freshman at nyu…

I’ve wondered that too. Like, say you went to Community College for a year for a reason outside of your control. Could you just apply as a Freshman, and not worry about the transfer.

Yes, you can apply as a freshman and forgo all of your transfer credits. You could talk about how you were always really attracted to Princeton but decided not to apply for fear of rejection or something but your first semester at NYU has totally opened your eyes and made you realize that Princeton’s the place for you and that you shouldn’t be afraid to take risks and make things right, etc etc.

Or how I didn’t have enough money for a boatload of apps and paid to apply to placesI had a better chance at.

So this winter/fall I can submit an application as a freshman and it will be like I never when to another college? Meh, I still won’t have the SAT or HS GPA to get it.
