Question

Yeah, so I’m kinda leaning towards UPenn right now, because I’m pretty interested in business. (But dont quote me on that…I’m still torn amongst business, premed, or journalism, a rather eclectic mix, I would suppose). So, if I wanted to get into Wharton (or whatever for business), would it make my application better if I did business-related EC’s or something? Maybe not necessarily clubs, but what about special programs, internships, summer programs, etc?

I’m trying to get a head start here, so don’t shoot me down for anything.

Wharton mainly looks for LEADERSHIP...the ECs you do really don't matter but you definitely need to a leader in your ECs...summer internships, programs, etc. can't hurt.

If you're looking for a good summer program I'd look at LBW at Wharton. It 's a really amazing program and it will give you a good idea of what business is really about.

Also if you're torn btw all of those majors I would not apply to wharton directly and rather apply to the college & take some wharton classes & eventually transfer into wharton if you then decide business is for you.

How hard is it to transfer from the College to Wharton? I'm leaning towards pre-med right now (so I'd like to attend the college and take only a few classes at Wharton), but I know very well that my interest could shift to business.
What is the rate of acceptance from the College into Wharton? Also, do you have to stay at Penn an extra year to complete the required classes for Wharton??
