Question!

Hey, I'm a student at Clemson and I'm looking into ways to get our student body more involved and enthusiastic about soccer.

I was looking at the NCAA attendance and couldn't notice your amazing numbers for soccer games. Is there a secret to getting all those people there? How do you manage to get all those people (I'm assuming a good bit are students) in the stands? Is there any reason other than the fact that they win? haha

Thanks in advance for any responses!

ABQ is a big soccer town. Many local kids grow up playing in AYSO and other youth leagues. (Soccer is much more popular than either football or softball/baseball for ABQ kids.) So built-in audience of fans who are familiar with the game and its rules.

Add to that the fact that both the UNM men’s and women’s teams are very, very good–and have been for years. (Doesn’t hurt that Lobo football sucks this year either…)

Add that to ABQ’s simply gorgeous fall weather–and it makes for a winning combo.

Soccer team’s home field is right on the main campus near the dorms too.
