I'm a junior and I got a D in Pre-Calculus for 1st semester. so my question is can i make it up in a community college? and if i get a passing grade does it replace my original grade? thank you~ i would really appreciate anyone that can help me here!

It depends on your school's rules. Talk to your guidance counselor and ask what the procedure is for replacing a grade. At my school when you get a C- or worse, you have the option of retaking the course and replacing the grade. And they allow it to be done at a community college.

That seems reasonable. My school has the same type of policy. If you get lower than a C, you have the option of retaking it for a passing grade. But, we have the option of online courses through FLVS.

I failed the first semester of chem this year; next summer, I'm going to retake the first semester through an online course.

Jman, I thought I'd let you know, I was reading about the FLVS Chemistry course on another board, and apparently you have to read everything super, super thoroughly to do well on the quizzes since it's not very well written.

Thanks for letting me know. It's free for me and I've already taken Personal Fitness and Algebra 2 on FLVS, so I'm gonna give it a try.

FLVS can be very blunt sometimes and hard to understand. I never study through it alone; most of the time I'll go to other websites, or buy a book cheap on ebay. I hope it won't be too hard; I was good at chem, I just didn't do the homework, which ultimately led me to get an F in the class :D .
