I'm getting a mixed answer regarding the ACT. Some students have told me that you need both the ACT (with Writing) and the SAT II's while the Rice Univ. website says that you only need the ACT with Writing and the SAT II's are "waived". Whats the real fact?

It's my understanding that prior to last year Rice required SAT IIs even if you were submitting the ACT. That has now been changed to SAT I and 2 SAT IIs OR the ACT with writing (per the admissions website). You can always call the admissions office to confirm, though.

Whoa, not fair! lol If I had to study for stupid subj tests, I think they should too. :)

psh im glad theirs no subject tests. But i might take em just for the heck of it. Im gonna be visiting RU in a couple a weeks, Can i just pick up an application packet their instead of printing one out? I hate online applications

yes. stop by the office and get one

Rice would insist on sending me paper apps... :D

they sent me 3 copies despite me 1. being in India at the time and 2. Clearly stating that I would fill it in online
