Questions about Activities Section

So I'm filling out the Activities section online right now and I find it extremely odd that you can't actually type in the specific name of your club/activity and instead you have to use the drop down menu. Even though the details section is so short, should you put the name of the activity in there before giving achievements and details? Also, when listing out titles and achievements, is it advised to put a number by it indicating which grade you earned the title/achievement or should you just leave them alone without indicating what year they were earned? Thanks to all who read and leave their suggestions!

yes, put the years for achievements.

the general advice is to list the actual activity name in the details section if it’s not evident from the drop down choice, although sometimes it makes more sense to put it in the achievements section on a case by case basis.

and once you enter everythign save and thenpreview it because the final version doesn’t capture all the info that you are able to type into the form. you actually have less space to enter info than you think you have.

What if I put the name of the organization/activity in the “Position Held, Honors Won, Letters Earned, or Employer” line with a dash to indicate any positions held?

Bump. Anyone else have advice?

I’m attaching an additional info sheet with short descriptions where I feel like they’re necessary. And only listing titles of clubs, awards/honors, and short descriptions where available.

Mmm that seems like a pretty good idea because the details section offers very little room to actually give solid details.

yes, mention the name of the club/activity; do not use full sentences

Yes, the activities section is actually quite odd. Where do you put summer programs you attended? and where do you put the name of the Institute where you attended the program?
