Questions about admission

Hey,
I’m wondering if being in CSF helps raise the chance of admission to UC, and also if AP exam scores impact admission chances. Thanks

I would assume being in CSF would certainly help and yes AP scores would help a lot. Even if you don’t pass the test, I would say you would still be above somebody who didn’t take it. Every little bit helps.

It won’t help unless you have a leadership role, to be honest. Otherwise, it’s just a random activity on your application.

Unless you are involved, it won’t help. CSF is just a corporation to which you pay $30 per year to graduate in front of your class. There really is no prestige in this.

Taking AP tests do help. I had a teacher who said you should report all your scores even if you don’t pass because it says something to colleges that you took the tests in the first place.
