1) I took the ACT 3 times. 3
April 09 - 23 composite
Sep 09 - 28 composite
Oct 09 - 29 composite

I didn't send UF the first two, only the 3rd. However, when I go and check my application status, it shows they received the first two scores.... ?!?!

I didn't send it to them, but I do think my high school got my score reports. Am I going to be at a disadvantage because of a 23 composite? I was sick and didn't select any schools to send the report to when I registered.

2) On the bottom of my application status, it says this. On your application you indicated that you will have graduated from high school in three years. In early January, please send the Office of Admissions an updated transcript with your mid-year grades.

Does anyone have experience with this? I'm just wondering if anyone graduated in three years and got accepted/denied and what grades were. I'm hoping they'll recalculate my UF GPA cause it'll be higher.

3) I definitely submitted my application on 11/1 but it says application received on Yes on 2009/ 11 / 02

If you submitted the application ON Nov. 1, then I think you are considered late. I believe the deadline was to submit the application before Nov. 1.

My daughter’s STATUS page says 2009/11/02 also.
I e-mailed the school because her application was in on 11-01 around 8pm.

The UF answer below:

Thanks for your message and congratulations to XXXXX on submitting your application prior to the application deadline. Unfortunately, our system updates overnight so applications received on November 1st are showing November 2nd.

Please rest assured that xxxxx’s application was received on time and I’m sorry for the confusion with the system.

Rolandando - The deadline was at 11:59pm November 1st. It was clear on UF’s website that applications could be turned in on November 1st and be counted on time. You can check the status by going to Undergraduate Admission, then bottom left corner CHECK YOUR STATUS AT UF

LMU10 - as for your ACT score, I believe that the schools will take / consider your highest composite score, so if they do have all of them , I would think they’ll consider your highest score.
I wouldn’t worry about that, but you could always call and ask to be sure.

I agree with Loony concerning the ACT scores.

I know where you go to check your status, but I don’t actually see where it says the date and time it received the application. When I go to my status page all I see is my name, ufid, birthday, and the requested term.

Rolandando when you log in to check your status it says:
name, ufid, birthday, term

"The Office of Admissions has completed a preliminary review of your application for admission.
Please look at the tables below to determine whether your application file is complete. Missing materials can delay your admission notification. If you have recently sent these materials, please allow processing time, especially around application deadlines; materials sent by regular mail take a minimum of two-to-three weeks’ processing time. Check your application status as often as you need to verify receipt of materials. "

Then it has boxes for:

Application Information Received?
Application Yes on 2009/ 11 / 02
Application Fee Yes
Courses in Progress Yes
All Time Accounted For Yes

(under that box they have two more boxes for…)

Transcripts Received

Test Scores Received

Maybe you didn’t scroll down when you opened your status page?

I sent my application in about ten minutes before the deadline, and paid my application fee about five minutes before the deadline. Since my application status also says that my application went in on November 2nd, I sent an email asking if my application was submitted on time. I also asked if all applications submitted on the 1st will say they were received on the 2nd, as mine and itme’s say, so hopefully that will definitively clear everything up for anybody with the same question.

Clak - On Nov 16th I posted a copy of the UF answer to my e-mail. It is the UF system. If you have an e-mail confirmation showing you paid UF - it should be dated Nov 1st - your good to go:)

Right, I just wanted to make sure that every application that was submitted on the first appears to have been received on the second. By the way, the reply to my email confirmed that I submitted the application on time, so I think we can be pretty sure that that is the case for all applications submitted on the first.

Not many people know that Florida is one of two states in the country that ties your social security number into the florida school system. Whenever you register for the ACT or SAT, Florida schools will automatically get the scores. I saw this happen to my son; he did not send his first SAT scores in, yet the Florida schools had them. The two out of state schools that he applied to did not have them. I called SAT and they confirmed that Florida does get all of the scores. Interesting that they don’t tell Florida students this… I guess they don’t want to lose out on all of the fees that go along with sending scores. I think that Minnesota was the other state but I can’t be sure.
