Questions about Advising & Orientation Session

<p>Hi,
I'm a transfer student and have been admitted to UW for Autumn Quarter.
I just learned of a family death, and I have to leave on July 15. Because of religious tradition, I also have to stay there until August 20.
I know that it's best to pick the earliest dates since that is when I will register for classes. But for the business major, the earliest session is July 21.
Thus, I'm wondering if I could attend earlier A&O session. Also, is there anything I should do before I leave?
I already emailed my question to UW First Year Programs, but only received a automatic reply saying "I am out of the office on vacation until Thursday, June 26th."</p>

<p>First, sorry for your loss. Try calling this number Phone: (206) 543-4905 and explain to them your situation and or if there is an alternative. Try also emailing them <a href=“http://fyp.washington.edu/fyp-staff/”>http://fyp.washington.edu/fyp-staff/&lt;/a&gt; . Worst case, i will give the registration office a call and ask for their advice.
