Hi, can anyone tell me whether Alumni interviewers would be able to view my supplement submitted?

Would they ask you to explain more about your favorite books?

Thanks!

^ I don’t think so. In general, all the Alumni interviewer knows about you is your personal info & intended major. Though sometimes the interviewer may know the gist of your stats( in case it is a an admissions interview & not an alumni interview)!! :)

hi, rishav17

thx a lot for your reply. ya. hopefully they wont ask those book related qns .lol

“Would they ask you to explain more about your favorite books?” You’re wrongly assuming they know what you wrote on the application. They don’t know that.

However, one could easily say"What are your favorite books" and ask you to explain. But NO, they wouldn’t refer to your supplied list to Columbia

Hi, T26E4 thanks . very helpful

If they’re talking about your favorite books, why wouldn’t you wanna talk about them?

Just a quick question regarding alumni interviews: how long does it normally take for a regular decision applicant to be contacted by an alumnus? (Yes, I am aware of the fact that not all applicants can be accommodated, but I hope that I am one who will be lucky enough to have an interview.)

The window is now until end of Feb. when reports are due. Since it’s decentralized, there is no standard.

Thank you very much for the information, T26E4.
