questions about appealing a UCLA admission decision...

whens the deadline to appeal for it? will the deadline be late enough that I would be able to include my grades for Spring in the appeal?

also how often do appeals work (like an estimate/percentage)?

atleast wait til u get rejected befoer thinking about appeals.

itll prolly be before spring grades are out
and the chances of getting in on appeal are veryyyyyyyyyyyyyy low.

If you have a valid reason, I’d say you have a 20% chance for appeal. Supposedly, there is a 5% success rate. I am pretty sure if there isn’t new and compelling info, they just throw your appeal out since they previously evaluated your application and decided you weren’t right for their campus.

I wouldn’t however say your chances are veryyyyyyyyyyyyy low. It depends. If there is a specific reason why you want/need to go to UCXX, they will take that into consideration, especially if you were on the border.

oh i see because a grade I got in Fall dragged my GPA below the average GPA for the major I want, but after I retake the course in the Spring, it will bring my GPA up so that I will be above the average GPA (and I will surely pass the class, bec. it was an unforseen circumstance that caused me to get a low grade in that class the first time)

i thought maybe if I could appeal with a better GPA i would stand a chance?
