questions about application status

My dtr checked her app status on line today after submitting earlier this week. The first line says "Alternate Choice Option" and gives the date she submitted electronically. I can't find this term at the UIUC website with a google search. Can anyone tell us what it means?

Also, even though she ordered her ACT/SAT scores in early Sept and also gave her UIUC app check and counselor form to her HS counselor then too, the check and transcript aren't shown as received, BUT the ACT score is, showing the date she took the IL Prairie State test which includes the ACT. We signed the counselor form telling him not to submit this ACT score and we didn't request it--her earlier ACT turned out to be a bit higher, and we had ordered only that test to be sent directly form ACT org. Any ideas how UIUC got the score no one should have sent? thanks!

I am pretty sure that Alternate Choice Option means she checked the box on the application that asked "If you are not accepted into your school of choice, would you like to be considered for LAS?"

As for the 2nd part, my dates are a little funky too...but does it actually say "received" and the date it was received in the middle? Or is it blank showing that they still haven't received it? As her transcript, ACT score, etc reach the school it will state the date in which the item was received between what it is and the date that you sent it.
But you could always contact the admissions office via phone, they are very helpful.
