<p>Hey, can someone explain to me what a "file" is. Is that an application to West Point, or do you fill out the file before you fill out the actual application you request from west point. And I haven't got my SAT score yet, but can I still fill out the "file"?</p>
<p>Your file is made up of all the documentation you will send to USMA now and in the future. You can open a file by going to the USMA website and clicking on the "admissions" link. Near the top of the page click on: "apply to usma?. You will fill out a questionnaire to get your file opened. You can start this process without your SAT scores. If you have PSAT?s you can give them those for now. </p>
<p>The other option to open a file is to apply to their summer seminar (SLS). You can find information about that at the admissions link also. It may be too late for SLS, I'm not sure what the deadline is.</p>
