Due to circumstances out of my control I am living with my
father in Iowa for the first semester of my senior year, however I will be
returning to California in December to graduate with my class there. Other than the four month current stay in Iowa I have always lived in California with my mother. I was wondering if the stay with my father would affect my chances of getting California state residency. My second question is, I live with my mother the majority of the time in California but my dad claims me and he lives in Iowa, is that going to affect anything? Should my mother claim me this year? And lastly when it says family size on the applications should I go by the number of people who physically live in the house and are supported by the income or just the number of people that are claimed on the tax income?
