Barnard seems like the most amazing school and I’d love to know more about it from a current student!
What’s the community like? Would you say it’s close-knit or is it more spaced out?
Is it difficult to have a life outside of school?
What’s dorm-life like?
What’s the pre-medicine program like?
I’m going to be a sophomore in highschool this fall, are there any specific things that Barnard looks for like ACT vs. SAT, ? Thank you

Not a current student, but spend a lot of time in the city.

Most city schools don’t have that campus feel. Most students spend their free time outside of the school instead of participating in clubs or activities. It’s VERY easy to have a life outside of school. It’s kinda hard to ignore the hustle and bustle of NYC. For Barnard, your essay really matters, so when the time comes, really work on it. Also, if you are worried about not having guys around, a lot of the girls at Barnard hang with the guys at Columbia and the other many unis in the city.
