questions about bauer hall

So I just found out that next year I will be in Bauer Hall. I was wondering if any current students could describe it to me. I was a little upset because I had been hoping for Donlon since that seemed to be known as the social/party dorm. Does Bauer's small size make it seem isolated?

you actually got on the website, congrats!

It's one of the best dorms on North Campus. The layout is essentially suites on a central hall. You need your ID card to get into the building and to get up to your floor.

As you walk down the comparatively wide hall, there are doors on the right and left, in groupings of four or so rooms, each with a bathroom. These are your suitemates, although you are not really isolated from everyone else on the hall.

It's a nice place to live. Of course it's a bit more isolated than Donlon/Dickson, but not because of size, but rather because of the suite arrangement.

I don't think there is anything small or isolated about bauer (court in my day). It's still a very big building with long halls, so you will meet a lot of people. As many of the really social kids that i partied with freshman year lived in court/mews as in donlon.

Bauer (formerly Court A-wing) is ***king awesome. Social, very clean, suite-mates, it will spoil you...

Is Court/Bauer the only residence that is split into two buildings? How much interaction is there between Court and Bauer?

there's a lot of interaction. Court/Bauer are the same dorm, it just had one part renamed.

They are separated by the sky bridge...so it's just like you're going up the hall.

I agree with pretty much everyone else in this thread. I lived in Court/Bauer last year and I loved it. It really will spoil you.
