Questions about Binghamton University

Hey im highly considering Binghamton university but have a few questions.
I want to do pre med

How are the science classes at Binghamton? are they rigourous? How are the tests organized? Are the tests mostly multiple choice and how long are they?

Now aside from the academics, Is it really boring and depressing at Binghamton since i heard the sun barely comes up, the weather is bad, and the town of Binghamton is pretty bad.

How is the campus dining and are there options for vegetarians? How are the dorms?

I’m not a science major but my friends who are generally all work pretty hard. A lot of studying. I can’t speak for the format of the tests.

No, it’s not boring and depressing. When it gets cold and dark it’s kind of gloomy but it’s not the worst weather in the world. Actually, we’re more than halfway done with the semester and the weather has honestly been fine. I only started wearing a legitimate jacket last week. There are a lot of nice places downtown and near campus, but a lot of places downtown are kind of decrepit.

We’re getting a brand new dining hall with tons of options, so that should be awesome. I’ve had no problems eating vegetarian.

Most of the major intro science courses (Bio. Physics, Chem) are strict curves and are tough. I have no clue what the exams are like.

I enjoyed the weather at Binghamton, but I’m certainly in the minority. Make your own fun in college, it’s far more memorable. The downtown area is usually quite busy on the weekends with students, but there’s plenty to do in the surrounding areas. If you have a car, it’ll be easier to explore, but you can always take BC Transit (local buses) or the Blue Buses (school buses) into the local areas to explore.

Plenty of vegetarian options, and the food is typical cafeteria food. Dorms are nice and vary from 60/70s era to recently built. I lived in CIW and the apartments, both were awesome.
