Questions about Columbia's supplementary application

Hello! I am currently a senior seeking to be a part of Columbia University.
I was skimming through its supplementary college-specific questions and met a (minor) problem.

Do the questions that require one to "List" the books or the print one enjoyed literally demand one to list them one by one?

Seeing that it is "150" words or less, it seems to expect the applicant to write some description or thoughts about them.... since literal listing would not take up that much space.

For those who applied and fortunately was admitted, in what way did you complete these questions?

I simply listed them with no explanation as to why I enjoyed them and I was accepted. Most if not all of the people I know who applied did the same. The other two people who were accepted from my school simply listed them as well. I personally think these questions are used more to get a feel of who you are - I wouldn’t stress about your answers to them all that much. Save the explanation for the question where they ask you to choose one and explain why you liked it.

Thanks a ton, saved some time
