Questions About Comprehensive Review ???

What was the cut off this year?

How does the community service points work? I do relay-4-life, key club, and recycle club.....and throughout high school i will have 200+ hours. So how many pts would I be looking at?

For the personal challenges, what are they looking for bc 2 of my immediate family members were diagnosed with cancer, so will that get me any pts?

Academic development programs......I signed up for that EAOP thing, will that help out?

And lastly the educational environment? How does your school qualify for this? API Score is a 3 out of 10, so does this mean my school is qualified?

Comments really appreciated, bc I really want to get into UCSD.....

My advice to you is to stop worrying about the points and fill out the application as if the point system never existed. Pointing out things just to get points will make you seem as a desperate applicant.

That's the "guideline" of Comprehensive Review.

I never bothered calculating mine out but there it is.

Okay so the cut off was about 7500, so if I had around 8050 pts. would that mean I'm in for sure of do they also do other things when deciding on a student's admission.

my points tallied over 8000 yet they put me as winter admit, ..........

chang, why would they do that?

changbj88 --- I hope your situation is rare because I have around 8500 pts. so I'm hoping I will get in.

Actually , according to the school, the cut-off this year was 7421.

yea man they did that and its craptacular, im thinking they put undeclared ppl towards the end, so put down a major on ur app this november

Maybe they take the essay into account at that point?
The essays have to come into play SOMEWHERE, don't they?

They definitely come into play, I wouldn't have gotten in without them. :</p>
