Questions about De Anza College's Major

Hi everyone, I am trying to apply de anza in 2019 fall. And it want me to enter which major I will intend.
If I would like to transfer to UC in the future. Which one should I choose, AAT/AST or AA/AS?
Also I heard someone said “The major in community college is not important, the more important thing is lesson.” Is this correct?
Thanks!!!

The AA-T and AS-T are more optimized for transfer prep, though more so for CSUs.

Transfer to UCs or CSUs does not actually require an associates degree. It requires some GE requirements and major preparation courses. Doing additional GE or the IGETC pattern is also desirable for most campuses and majors.

http://www.assist.org has more information on transfer preparation.

Note that De Anza is on 10 week quarters, as are most UCs and a few CSUs. But UCB and UCM are on 15 week semesters, as are most CSUs. One quarter unit of credit = 2/3 semester unit of credit.
