I'm taking Humanities and Anatomy/Physiology courses through the Middle College Program (basically what I've heard is just dual enrollment to take college courses. They're free but I have to pay a fee to get the college credits and the classes are taught in my high school). Are these better than AP Classes? The classes aren't given by a community college but by an independent four-year college (Farleigh Dickinson University in NJ). Do these classes look good on college apps?
Thanks;

Do you have any idea where you want to apply? Our ds read on several college websites that they would only consider DE credit if the class was taught in person on a college campus. After discussing the issue with various people, it sounds like that wording is to avoid 2 scenarios. 1-DE classes taught on high school campuses and 2-online only classes. These are rules that are not hard and fast and really vary from one school to the next. If you have some schools in mind, I would read their websites and then make phone calls and ask.

FWIW, I would say that in general, if you are looking OOS, you would be more likely to get credit via APs.

One warning is that grades earned in college courses taken while in high school will be included in college GPA for applying to medical or law school. Good if you get A grades, not so good if you get B or lower grades, if you have interest in such professional schools.

I want to apply to TCNJ, so in state.
Ah, i see. Thank you!
