Questions About Economics at UW for current students!

I just recently was accepted to UW, and I’m interested in majoring in Economics, specifically as a BA. However, I wanted to know more about the nature of the major at the UW specifically. Are classes difficult? How are the professors? Pros, cons etc. Is the BA more or less competitive than BS? How are the pre-requisites? What’s the work load like? Is it extremely common to be rejected and have to graduate in 5 years/switch majors/schools? If you’ve already been accepted, what was that process like and what sort of extra curriculars/grades/work did you do/have?
Please feel free to answer more and say as much as you would like. I am deeply interested in others experiences, especially in the social sciences field, as I feel I only hear about the CS/Bio/Engineering majors and how they’re struggling.
I’m not afraid of a challenge at all, but I don’t want my major to be a big gamble.
