1) What's the difference between Emory and Oxford? Is it easy to transfer between them?
2) If you apply to Emory, will you be automatically considered admission to Oxford?

1) If you successfully complete two years at Oxford, you automatically “continue” on to Emory.
2) If you want to be considered by Oxford, you need to apply to Oxford. An application to Emory will not do it.

Wait… really? But on the supplement I checked to apply for both. Does it mean it’s automatic?

There’s Oxford College and Emory College of Arts and Sciences. You should have selected to apply to both, but I think there are still some documents that Oxford wants separately from Emory (e.g., test scores). If you start at the College of Arts and Sciences, you cannot transfer to Oxford. If you start at Oxford, you cannot apply to transfer to the College of Arts and Science. Instead, you automatically continue when you graduate (normally in two years) from Oxford.

Does that answer your questions?

If you completed the Emory University Supplement for both Emory College AND Oxford College, then you have apllied to both.

Applying to Emory College is not necessary IF your intentions are to attend Oxford College for two years and then “continue” on to Emory College.
