Questions about Exeter

It really doesn’t matter, but I’ve heard that Bio is harder. (I haven’t taken either yet)
Doing Physics lets you get into the Advanced Chem in your lower year.

Please read the thread. I already answered this question.

On the FAQ on blackboard it talks about the dorm assignments

Dont feed the ■■■■■ people

answerbag: I would not be talking.

He’s more legit than you. December 2008 > April 2010

When Exeter release their Admissions statistics? Can someone go on Facebook and ask?

I think someone said they would be put in the Exonian but I am not sure.

There’s no point in looking at the admissions statistics. If you got in, you got in. If you didn’t, you didn’t. That’s just life.

It was a lot tougher this year though.

To help vk77,
Exeter DOES play public high schools. I’m on the track team, and today we just had a meet against Exeter high school and Portsmouth high school…

You actually can request a single as a prep. I have a single this year as a prep even though I didn’t request. But anyways if you aren’t the roommate type I would request a single. I don’t know how I would have made it through the year if I had had a roommate.

I know, I watched some of the meet. I never said that Exeter doesn’t play public schools.

I think it’s worth mentioning that there are houses and dorms

dorms typically can have somewhere from like 40 - 60 people, a house may have 10-25. Only lowers, uppers and seniors can live in a house.

so if you like big dorms, request a dorm. I’m sure you don’t have to request a specific one, it’s probably much easier to accommodate a request of “any dorm” as opposed to “____dorm”

@vk77, I was responding to some of the posts earlier…

@seikuu: ha! I know who you are now… XD anyway… Yeah. Do what he said.
Also, if you REALLY know you can’t work with roommates [i.e. you’ve had one before], then request a single. but otherwise, don’t request.

you are so lucky you got in they told me i had to apply for 2011-2012 and right now i am going to take the ssat for exeter any tips on how to study

thanks
elizabeth

Does Exeter post sports results (especially for track and cross country) on a specific website? I have checked, and there are no results on athletic.net.

Also, does Exeter ever compete against college teams? How many schools are in Exeter’s league when it comes to interschols?

Hey guys,

I’m applying as an incoming senior for the fall of 2011.

Okay, I’m also an athlete and does cycling, lacrosse, run track, cross country and badminton.

Urmmmm I’ve heard that if I’m applying , I should contact the coaches of the schools and let them know I’m interested to join their athletics…

How helpful is this when I’m applying?

extremely. Sometimes the word from one of the coaches will tip the scale in your favor and will grant you an acceptance. This is assuming that you are excellent at your sport. If you are just on a club team or something, I don’t think it would have a big effect with the coaches. But I didn’t have a sport when I applied so I really don’t know too much in this department.

Are you accepted by a boarding school? I’m a member of my provinces (manitoba, canada) cycling association and have won few races (as a runner up) and I’ve won several cross country meets…

No, didn’t get accepted (rejected by 5 schools) so I know a little bit about the application process.

Maybe having athletic hooks could have helped you. What were your grades like?

I had all As and one B for first quarter but rest of the quarters were/are As

Exeter said that I lacked in extracurriculars.
