Questions about Financial package

Hello! I am accepted ED by Wellesley, and I am super excited!!!

However, my enthusiasm dimmed recently because my parents are freaking out about the financial package.

I don't quite understand why my parents have to pay the work-study portion.
I thought I was suppose to be responsible for that part.

So, my parents are suppose to pay the school the work-study part before-hand, then I earn the money through work-study to pay back my parents, but work-study money is suppose to be for my living-costs/books?!

If I get scholarship $ and it pays for my student contribution and work-study, then my parents don't have to pay the school the work-study portion. But I still work on campus to pay for living-costs/books?!

For some reason this doesn't make much sense to me.
Urgh...can someone explain?

Basically, yes. There were a lot of people talking about this earlier this year… I think it turned out that the work-study was a suggestion and in case you weren’t able to get enough hours at your job, that that money was still accounted for? The financial aid office can better answer your questions about this though.
