Questions about Georgetown and McDonough

Hi! I’m interested in applying to Georgetown’s McDonough School of Business and I’ve got some questions I’d like answers before officially adding it onto my college list.

*What are the language departments like, specifically the Arabic and Spanish departments?
*What majors is McDonough particularly known for (other than finance)? Is the accounting program good (I know the Big 4 recruit and what not that’s not my question, I’m interested in the strength of faculty etc). Do you think going to Georgetown is pointless if you’re going to major in accounting?
*What is the atmosphere like? I’m particularly worried that I may not fit in with the campus culture as a Ethiopian-American (Muslim) girl. I’ve heard that’s its pretty preppy and what not…is that true? I don’t mind it or anything but I’m just curious.
*Core curriculum: I despise subjects like English, history, philosophy etc and would seriously prefer not to have to take many classes in those fields. Do you think Georgetown may be a poor fit in that respect?

What are the pros and cons of Georgetown, in your opinion?

Thanks!
