questions about getting into emory

Hello,

I'm not a senior yet but I'm planning for college now! It's never too early. ;)

1st question--

We're choosing classes for junior year now and I'm debating on taking 5 AP classes next year. It sounds like a lot but my school offers TWENTY-FIVE AP classes, so I have to stay competitive. I can drop one AP class for a 2nd language class (spanish II), but that will mean I'll take spanish II & AP french for next year. What to do?

2nd question--

My dad went to Emory on scholarship for two years but he didn't graduate there. Does that count as a "legacy"? He was also a sigma chi, and my uncle was too (and graduated there). My aunt was accepted at Emory but she never went.

I know a lot of people who work or go to Emory, too.

Oh and I lived less than ten minutes from Emory most of my life until high school, har har. (I live in the 'burbs of ATL now.)

'Tis all.

I’m not sure if your dad is a legacy, but I would put it anyway. And your uncle of course counts!

Take the 5 APs. Don’t worry about your languages.

take the 5 AP classes (like the above poster said).

Take the 5 AP classes if you are sure you can pull off at least 3 As 2 Bs in them.

Hmmm. I’d say two of them are “easy” APs, so I guess I shall be doing it. THX to everyone.
