So it’s my second semester of sophomore year, and I looked at my transcript, and I’ve gotten a B for nearly every class since taking Algebra 1 in seventh grade. My unweighted GPA is a 3.1, and by the time I graduate I REALLY want it to be a 3.5 or higher. Is this feasible? How can I get there? How does GPA actually work? How do I calculate it?
A 3.5 would mean that by the end of high school (8 semesters) your average grade from all your classes has to be a 90+. You’ve completed almost 4 semesters so far, which means that you still have a lot of time (2+ years) to bring your GPA up. Try looking at your school GPA chart and go form there if you want to calculate your GPA, because it is different from school to school.
