<p>Hi, I'm applying to Harvard SSP '09. I've never been to any summer college programs, so I'm completely new at this. I have a few questions concerning the application process for SSP, and it would be great if someone here could help me answer them. =)</p>
<p>1) How important are the Supplementary Application questions? It says that the answers should be a few sentences to a paragraph in length, but that seems a little short...</p>
<p>2) How long should the Writing Sample be (500 words, 1000 words...)? Should it be an essay written specifically for the purpose of the application, or could it simply be an essay written for one of your classes at school?</p>
<p>3) I'm ranked top 1% in my school and I have perfect GPA; however, I've never taken the PSAT, SAT or ACT before. Will this hurt my chances of getting in? </p>
<p>4) I'm a Canadian resident. Is there any way for me to obtain financial aid?</p>
<p>5) From reading these boards, I get the impression that the SSP is not selective at all... How embarassing would it be if I got rejected? :(</p>
