I just found out this scholarship program but I can't get enough information from website. So if you have applied or are applying for it, please help me.
1. What is the deadline? I'm applying EA for Notre Dame. Is the deadline the same?
2. I don't understand the nomination process. Must I be nominated by my high school in order to apply? I'm an international student so I assume my high school doesn't even know the nomination process of the scholarship program. Can I still apply?

<li><p>The deadline for the HYSP is November 15th - 2 weeks after the EA deadline</p></li>
<li><p>The nomination process is really much less rigid than the website makes it sound. I’m a current HYSP scholar (I’m a freshman), and last year I just went to my counselor and told her about the program (she’d never heard of it before), and she filled out a recommendation form online for me (you won’t be able to submit your application until your counselor submits her recommendation). Most other people that I know of in the program did the same thing.</p></li>

<p>(Also: the program LOVES international students. Being an international student is a big advantage for getting selected for this).</p>
